Charidy will be holding its first annual Giving Day to end human trafficking on Sunday, July 30, 2017.  The United Nations has declared July 30th as World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, and Charidy is responding with a unique one day online fundraiser which uses “strategized crowdfunding” to mobilize like-minded organizations and communities to come together in support of a common cause.  Charidy is focused on social impact organizations and works to unite us all in one concerted effort to fight human slavery together.

“As you read this, an estimated 45 million people are enslaved around the world.

But there is a growing community of survivors, activists, nonprofits, governments, faith-based communities & individuals just like you fighting back.

Join our movement on Sunday, July 30 – the United Nations World Day against Trafficking In Persons – when we unite for a Global Giving Day to support an end to modern day slavery in our lifetime.”

Some of the participating organizations in this year’s event include CAST (Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking), United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund, Freedom United, 3 Strands and Mentari. The goal to reach is $600,000, and the campaign begins at 2 PM, EDT.
