January is National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, and the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (CAST) will hold its Annual Freedom Walk on Saturday, January 13, 2018, in Los Angeles. Everyone is welcome!  Participants should plan on gathering at 9 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church located at 6657 Sunset Blvd. The event includes survivor stories and the chance to march alongside fellow advocates in the fight to end modern day slavery.  It will end around 10:30 AM.

“FOR TWO DECADES, CAST HAS SUPPORTED THOUSANDS OF SURVIVORS ON THEIR JOURNEY TO FREEDOM, FROM COUNSELING AND MENTORSHIP, TO LEGAL RESOURCES AND HOUSING, TO EDUCATION AND LEADERSHIP TRAINING.”

The Freedom Walk will be followed by Eyes on Trafficking, an evening of community outreach and education, scheduled the week after on Sunday, January 21 from 7 to 10 PM.  RSVP here.
